PASIFIKA FESTIVAL 2023
The Cook Islands (NZ) Society attended the Pasifika Festival again this 2023 year.
The Festival was held at Waitangi Park on 11 Feb 2023 with lots of support from local Pasifika families and friends as various Pasifika groups put on displays, provided kaikai and great music.
The Cook Islands (NZ) Society also had a stall displaying and selling vibrant Ei Upoko and doughnuts, the doughnuts sold very quickly. We also had a few of our drums on display and played them various times during the day, the drums bought about attention from all.
It was a great day with lots of fun and laughter from those who came and enjoyed the day, thanks to all who came and supported the Society.
The attending Pasifika groups provided a variety of tasty cultural food, arts and crafts, Pacific beats, plenty of entertainment. It was a great day with lots of fun and laughter from those who came and enjoyed the day, thanks to all who came and supported the Society and the other Pasifika groups.
